Footer
The Footer section sits at the bottom of every page and is built from a column count setting, a bottom bar of icons and selectors, and up to four block types that you arrange yourself.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Columns (desktop) | Sets how many columns the footer blocks are arranged into on desktop. |
| Show social icons | Displays your store's social media icons in the footer bottom bar. |
| Show payment icons | Displays accepted payment method icons in the footer bottom bar. |
| Show follow on Shop button | Displays a button letting customers follow your store on the Shop app. |
| Show language selector | Displays a language dropdown in the footer, if multiple languages are published. |
| Show country/region selector | Displays a country or region dropdown in the footer, if multiple markets are set up. |
| Additional copyright text | Adds custom text next to the automatically generated copyright line. |
Blocks
The footer's columns are filled with blocks. Add, remove, and reorder these freely in the theme editor to build the footer layout you want.
| Block | What it does |
|---|---|
| Menu | Displays a linked list of pages, useful for navigation groups like "Help" or "Company". |
| Newsletter | Displays an email signup form connected to your customer list. |
| Text | Displays freeform text, such as a store description or contact details. |
| Image | Displays a logo or other image, commonly used for a secondary logo or trust badges. |
Tip: Keep the language and country selectors turned off until you've actually set up additional markets or translations in Shopify. An empty selector with only one option confuses customers more than it helps them.
