How does the Purchase Order (PO) workflow actually work?
The engineering note: parsing a buyer's own PO means accepting hostile input, so the XLSX reader is our own minimal ZIP+XML implementation rather than SheetJS (whose npm package sits on unfixed high-severity advisories), the PDF reader runs with eval disabled on a pinned version, and every dimension is bounded: 5 MB upload, 500 lines, capped decompressed size. A parsed file is never turned into an order on its own, because a misread PDF is how a buyer receives twenty-seven cases instead of two. Buyers submit from a storefront block, or you upload a file yourself in the admin. The app records the PO, matches SKUs to your Shopify product variants, and creates a Shopify draft order tagged with the PO number and customer. You then send the draft order to the buyer for payment, or convert it directly to a fulfilled order if NET terms apply.
Can I set different prices for different customer groups?
Yes. On Starter you can give one customer group a percentage discount. On Growth and Pro you can create unlimited groups and set custom per-product and per-variant prices for each. The right price appears across collection, product, cart, and checkout for tagged customers.
