What is Miko AI?
Miko AI is a Shopify customer intelligence app currently in development by Tripster Developers. It reads your customer purchase history, segments customers using machine learning, predicts churn and lifetime value, and surfaces specific actions for you to take to grow revenue. Tagline: Every customer tells you something. Miko AI listens.
How is Miko AI different from Shopify Analytics?
Shopify Analytics shows you aggregate dashboards – total revenue, top products, abandoned-cart counts. Miko AI works at the individual customer level: it scores each customer for churn risk, predicts their future spend, groups similar customers, and tells you what to do about them. It is built specifically for retention and lifecycle marketing, not store reporting.
Does Miko AI replace Klaviyo or Shopify Email?
No. Miko AI is the brain, not the sender. It computes segments and writes them back to Shopify customer profiles as tags (with a miko- prefix). Your existing email tools – Klaviyo, Shopify Email, Mailchimp – pick those tags up automatically and use them as segments and triggers. Zero integration work.
When does Miko AI launch?
Miko AI is in active development. The core Remix app, Python ML service, and Claude integration are working in development today. We will open a closed beta to a small group of merchants before submitting to the Shopify App Store. Join the waitlist to be considered for early access.
What machine learning does it actually run?
Standard, well-understood techniques applied carefully: RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) scoring for the eleven canonical retention segments; K-Means clustering on order behaviour for unsupervised segment discovery; logistic-regression churn prediction with feature importance; and gradient-boosted CLV forecasting. The math is well-known – the value is in running it on your data automatically and explaining the results.
Is my customer data sent to a third party?
Customer data is processed inside our infrastructure (Railway + PostgreSQL). For the plain-English segment explanations, we send anonymised aggregate descriptions (e.g. "237 customers, average 3.2 orders, last order 45 days ago") to the Claude API – never raw customer records or PII.
