Accelerated checkout & Shop Pay Installments
Accelerated checkout buttons and the Shop Pay Installments banner both appear in Akira automatically once the relevant payment options are enabled in your Shopify admin. There is no theme setting for either of these.
Accelerated checkout buttons
Buttons for Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay appear automatically on the product page and on the cart page and cart drawer, depending on which express payment methods you've enabled. These buttons let a customer skip straight to a pre-filled checkout using their saved payment details.
To turn these on, go to Settings → Payments in your Shopify admin and enable at least one express payment method. Akira cannot make these buttons appear if no express payment method is configured there, since the theme is only rendering what Shopify's checkout makes available.
Per Shopify's requirements, themes must never override the branded color or style of these buttons. Akira displays them exactly as Shopify provides them, and this isn't something you can restyle through theme settings.
Shop Pay Installments
When Shop Pay Installments is available for a given price point and market, Akira automatically shows a "buy now, pay later" banner on the product page. This lets customers see upfront that they can split their payment into installments.
Like accelerated checkout, this banner requires no theme setting. Whether it appears, and the installment terms it shows, is controlled entirely by Shopify's payment configuration and the customer's market and currency.
Tip: If a merchant asks why an accelerated checkout button or the Shop Pay Installments banner isn't showing, check Settings → Payments first. It's almost always a payments configuration question rather than a theme issue.
