Custom Liquid & app blocks
When you install an app that needs a spot in your theme, Akira gives you two dedicated sections for it, Custom liquid and Apps, plus the ability to add most app blocks directly inside Akira's other sections.
Custom liquid
Custom liquid lets you or a developer paste raw Liquid or HTML into any template. It's useful for app snippets that give you a code block to paste in, or for one-off custom content that doesn't need a full section built around it.

Apps
Apps is a dedicated slot for Shopify app embed blocks. Add the section, then add the app's block from the app you've installed. It has no settings of its own beyond the app blocks you place inside it.
App blocks aren't limited to these two sections
Most other Akira sections also accept an app block directly, for example Announcement bar, Image banner, Drop zone, Image with text, Featured collection, Featured product, Mood reel, The Edit, Immersion lookbook, Brand film, and Comparison arena. If an app's block is meant to sit inside a specific part of the page rather than as its own standalone section, check whether the section you're already using accepts an app block before reaching for the standalone Apps section.
Tip: If an app's instructions say to add it "anywhere in the theme," try adding its app block inside the section it's most related to first (for example a reviews app inside Featured product), rather than defaulting to a separate Apps section lower on the page.
