Based on Shopify merchant benchmarks. Lift = percentage point increase in repeat rate, not % of existing rate.

Projections are estimates based on industry benchmarks. Actual results vary by store type, product category, and program execution. This calculator does not account for points redemption cost or program overhead.

How this calculator works

The repeat rate lift assumption

The single biggest lever a loyalty program pulls is repeat purchase rate — the percentage of customers who buy again within 12 months. Studies across Shopify merchants show programmes with basic points add 4–7 percentage points. Adding VIP tiers adds another 3–5 points. Adding referrals adds another 2–4 points.

This calculator uses those three scenarios (conservative +5pp, realistic +10pp, optimistic +15pp) applied to your current repeat rate to estimate the extra monthly orders you'd generate.

The revenue calculation

Extra monthly repeat orders = Total monthly orders × lift in percentage points
Extra monthly revenue = Extra monthly repeat orders × your AOV
Extra annual revenue = Extra monthly revenue × 12

What this doesn't include

Points redemption reduces your net margin on redeemed orders (typically 5–10% of the reward value). Referral rewards add a small CAC per referred customer. For a full unit economics model, talk to the Tripster team.
